Sam Bettison
Since graduating from Macquarie University in 2009, Sam has worked in both Sydney and Canberra, most recently as principal of Thrive Chiropractic.
Sam has undertaken further studies in two areas of particular interest, Paediatric and Pregnancy Chiropractic and Sports Chiropractic.
He has credentials and experience in Active Release Techniques, a highly effective approach to the treatment of soft tissue disorders and mechanical nerve problems. This technique is useful both in treating sporting injuries and in the gentle treatment of mums, babies, and children.
Sam has a strong network in Canberra with other providers (such as lactation consultants/midwives and dentists), to provide the best management and outcome for mums and babies. He is also regularly involved in multidisciplinary teams for the management of tongue ties and other oral restrictions.
Sam has treated people from a range of sporting backgrounds, including at an Ironman World Championship and at the Pacific Regional CrossFit Games. Sam has also studied and has experience in the diagnosis, treatment and management of sporting concussion and post-concussion syndrome.
Sam is a member of Sports Chiropractic Australia, Australian Chiropractors Association, Chiropractic Australia, Sports Medicine Australia, and College of Chiropractic Paediatrics.

Graduating from Macquarie University in 1995, Pete went on to complete his Sports Masters degree in 2000. With over 20 years of working with sports from indoor soccer to beach volleyball, pole dancing to water polo at all levels from local to international, Pete has a wealth of experience with managing sports injury and performance. Pete has served as the President of the International Sports Chiropractic Federation 2016-2019. In 2015 Pete was awarded a Fellowship with Sports Medicine Australia and Australian Chiropractor of the Year in 2016. Pete Lectures throughout the world on sports chiropractic and running technique with his first book published in November 2016 on running technique ‘The Running Machine: A Users Guide’ Pete’s interest outside the clinic include stand-up paddleboarding, competitive woodchopping, running and spending time with his family.

Jaimi Parr
Jaimi graduated from Central Queensland University in 2019 with a Masters in Chiropractic. She then relocated to Canberra where she could further learn and grow as a Sports Chiropractor and complete her International Certificate in Sports Chiropractic through FICS. In this time she has enjoyed working with athletes at various levels to achieve their specific goals and help to enhance their performance.
Jaimis love for sport has since stemmed out into the concussion world. After completing numerous studies in concussion and functional neurology, her passion for concussion management continues to deepen. Jaimi enjoys educating about the importance of concussion recognition and creating awareness around appropriate and current evidence-based concussion management.
Jaimi has been on the Sports Chiropractic Australia board for numerous years, starting as a QLD student representative and further moving to national student role and an ACT state chair role.
Jaimi is also qualified in Remedial Massage, having previously worked with the QLD State of Origin team and Brisbane Broncos for numerous seasons. She is also certified in dry needing and sports training. Jaimi has also spent many years coaching tennis and netball.

Timothy Porter
Tim graduated from Macquarie University with a Masters of Chiropractic. After graduating he lived in Indonesia where he volunteered in a not-for-profit sports academy. While serving as the academy’s chiropractor, he also assisted the academy in driving change in the local community, using sport as a vehicle to promote disability inclusion and gender equality, and improve health education.
Tim enjoys exploring the possibilities of human movement and empowering people to take control of their health and lifestyle. His interests outside the clinic include swimming and playing music.

Natalie Sharp
Nat graduated from Macquarie University in 2010 with a masters in chiropractic. Since then, Nat has completed an international sports chiropractic qualification. Nat has also completed courses in instrument assisted soft tissue therapy, kinesiology taping, functional moment screen and selective functional movement assessment. These provide a broad base of knowledge and skill to assess and treat a wide range of injuries and conditions.
Nat’s current area of interest in lower limb neurocognitive rehabilitation, aiming to improve treatment outcomes and return to sport levels. She has presented on this topic at the National Sports Chiropractic Symposium, The World Federation of Chiropractic congress, and the Australian Sports Medicine National Conference.
Nat is fortunate enough to draw from her experience as an international level beach and indoor volleyball athlete for her role as team chiropractor for the Australian men’s and women’s volleyball team and also many roles as medical director for national and international Beach volleyball events. Other sports Nat has worked with include water polo, crossfit, rugby union, skipping and stand-up paddle boarding. Saara Stevenson
Saara grew up in Canada playing competitive ice hockey and tennis. After completing her degree in psychology and biological sciences at the university of Alberta, she went on to finish a double bachelor degree in chiropractic and a bachelor of sports science at Murdoch University in Perth. She completed her ICCSP diploma recently.
She is a member of Sports Chiropractic Australia and a practising member of Chiropractic Australia. Saara is a certified dry needling practitioner and regularly attends seminars throughout Australia to keep up with the latest evidence and techniques. She has worked with the Australian Ice Hockey league, the Australian Volleyball League and the Western Australian Amateur Football League.
